MYSTERY WEEKEND TRIP

You arrive in Christchurch to be met by your guide for the weekend. All meals, station access fees starter pack, Uniden PRS 2 way communication.

The Inculdes all accomodation evening meals at Matawai pub, cafe or similar at Tolaga Bay, all food for evening meals at Hangaroa and Ruakituri nights.

Previous Off-Road Experience Not Necessary

Steve Beston has designed these trips so that the first day of the itinerary is one that can be driven by a competent driver with a full drivers license. We will present you with a Starter Pack at the beginning of the trip which includes some good tips on off-road driving and that day we will observe and advise you as the day progresses. This way you get the full enjoyment of the off-road experience at the same time as obtaining the experience you will use for the rest of the trip. The guide vehicle heads the convoy giving advice on various techniques to use by UHF two way radio and simple guidlines are reinforced as the day progresses.

On each trip one day is designated "Ladies Day", this is the day the girls do the driving and get to show the guys how it should be done and has proved to be a hugely popular feature of our trips.Each evening the team meets for dinner , a chance to relax and relive the fun of the days events and sights and you may even be the recipient of a small momento reflecting some of the days more memorable antics.

The theme of NZ 4x4 Treks is to take standard 4x4 vehicles used for every day commuting off-road to access places and scenery very few people ever have the chance to experience, to take that once in a lifetime oportunity,to be a part of a world that dreams are made of and to feel somehow different than you were before embarking on this unique journey. Customised Tours

If you would like an itinerary different from our current treks we are able to plan trips for groups who have particular requests such as visiting a specific area in the South Island, extended tours up to 10 days or inclusion of more or less of certain types of terrain. We have access to all areas of the South Island and North Island so please don't hesitate to contact us with a proposal.

If self drive is not an attractive option we have experienced off-road operators available at very reasonable rates to drive your vehicle or a hire vehicle which we can also supply, see the hire rates for these further on.
